Important Notice: Temporary Roofing Work at Montrose Estate
From 26 May to 26 June 2025, our Paewaka home will be undergoing major roofing work. While Paewaka will be closed to guests, construction noise will be present during the day, creating a disruption to the usual tranquility of Montrose Estate.
To acknowledge this impact, we are offering a 20% discount on all bookings for our other two homes, Te Ata and Hoturoa, during this period. Evenings and nights will remain peaceful, allowing you to unwind in our serene alpine setting.

This stunning two bedroom wooden Chalet with cedar shingle roof is nestled into surrounding bush and overlooks the Lake and Rakaia River. It is very private and features an open plan lounge/dining area with open fireplace and French doors leading out to a deck and fully equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms are accessed from either end of the lounge room. Both bedrooms have large ensuites with one featuring a spa bath in the window and walk in shower and the other having a double steam shower. We have also just put in a brand new 4 person outdoor hot tub.
No pets allowed.
